11. George Lucas ($5.1 billion)
George Lucas is best known for giving the world Star Wars, which is one of the greatest science fiction/fantasy franchises of all time. Whether or not you like the prequels, Lucas has allowed audiences’ imaginations to soar to new heights and we couldn’t be more grateful. In 2012, he sold Lucasfilm to Disney, which has since brought back the franchise with Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII and IX. We’re sure he’s loving retirement as he counts his $5 billion.
