5. Peace Movement
According to locals in Nekoma, the base was not originally welcomed with open arms. Due to the current peace movement as people marched against the Vietnam War, the site broke ground at a time people weren’t thrilled with the military. Demonstrators protested the pyramid construction with the Festival of Life and Love.
