7. Hoya Carnosa
Another vine plant that is one of a kind is the Hoya carnosa. It has a waxy like substance covering its almond shaped leaves. This plant probably looks familiar to you because it’s a pretty popular vine plant because of how easy and durable it is to have one. What you probably aren’t used to seeing is the clusters of beautiful soft pink and white flowers. If you keep your hoya carnosa healthy enough it will bloom in indirect light with only the occasional watering. The best rule for this plant like many others on this list is water it when it looks thirsty, making sure to test the soil.
There are other variations of this plant such as the hoya carnosa varigata which is a multicolored version with thinner longer vines. When caring for any of the variations of the hoya make sure not to cut any foliage off the vines because florets and new leaves will continuously grow from them. Make sure that each of your hoyas are potted in something with drainage so they don’t get root rot.
