The Jade plant has many different names: the lucky plant, money tree, friendship tree, and Crassula Ovata, it’s scientific name. Whatever you want to call this succulent plant is up to you but you won’t be disappointed when you get one. These plump leaves will be accompanied by beautiful pink and white florets in blooming season. The obvious succulent traits are very apparent in this plant, with it’s waxy plump leaves and thick base stem.

Originally from South Africa this plant will thrive in sunlight with sparse waterings. The new stems will sprout and look and feel like the mature leaves but will eventually dry out and become firm wood that will support numerous leaves. One of the most magical things about this plant is that it will propagate from only a single leaf if pressed into the soil.
