24. Travolta Was Offered The Role
Goodman never got the role and neither did Bill Murray, John Travolta or Chevy Chase. All three actors turned down the role of Forrest only to realize after the film won so many awards that they’d made a bad decision. Travolta would go on later to admit that passing on the role was one of his biggest career mistakes.
