11. What Your Service Needed Warning Light Means
The warning light on your car actually tells you when you need service, and how serious you need actually is. Most of the time this light will come on when you start your car, but it will fade within 2-3 seconds, if it stays around for 10 seconds you will need to take your car in within 500 miles. If it stays on for longer, you likely need to take your car in to be serviced right away.
