17. Seat Cooler

Getting into the car in the summer can be a nightmare, especially for small children. This seat cooler seeks to eliminate that problem. Take a rectangle of fabric two times as long as your seat and sew it together into a loop. Then turn the loop inside out, hemming on side, and sewing the other together to create a basic pocket. Flip this back around, and sew across the pocket in 3-5 inch intervals. You slip in ice packs from the dollar store as you leave your home, putting the cooler on the seat before you leave, and then when you are out shopping. Be sure not to sit on it, moving it to the side instead.
