21. The Great Pyramids
The Great Pyramids were built over 5,000 years ago and contain the largest monuments in all of Egypt. Built to honor the Pharaoh’s, the ancient Egyptians displayed their reverence through architecture. However, the pyramids continue to baffle historians to this day because of how they were built. Some conspiracy theorists believe there is no possible way the ancient Egyptians could have moved and stacked the large stones to craft the pyramids, which has paved the way for stories of alien alliances. Whether it was simply hard work and innovative design or green men from outer space, one can’t deny the beauty or the mystery the pyramids have to offer.
