9. The Big Circles
It seems that Jordan is home to many archaeological mysteries. The stone circles are another baffling discovery that has left researchers scratching their heads. Dating back 2,000 years, the circles span 1,312 feet in diameter and are only a few feet high. No openings were found that people or livestock would be able to walk through, ruling out animal holding pens and leaving the purpose of these large structures a complete mystery to this day.
