18. The Copper Scroll
One mysterious find from 1952 is a large copper scroll that was discovered at the site of Qumran. According to researchers, the scroll might detail a large amount of gold and treasure; however, no one knows where it could have been hidden. The scroll dates back over 2,000 years during a time that Qumran was under Roman Empire control. So the question remains, where could the treasure be and why did the settlers hide it, to begin with?
