29. Antikythera Mechanism
Discovered amongst the wreckage of a Greek cargo ship, this mechanism is dated to be over 2,000 years old. Designed with an intricate network of interlocking gears, the design has baffled modern archaeologists who believe it was used as an advanced astrological calendar. It currently is one of the most intricate pieces of machinery found from that era in the last 1,000 years.
