8. The Cochno Stone
Discovered in 1887, the Cochno Stone is a 5,000-year-old slab of stone that is decorated with swirling geometric images and designs. Considered to be a prime example of ancient European art, it’s located in Glasgow, Scotland. However, due to vandalism and graffiti, the stone has recently been reburied to keep it preserved. Researchers are still trying to discover what the shapes and symbols on the stone mean and what it could possibly have been used for.
