28. Cleopatra’s Tomb
One of the last of the Ptolemies rulers of Egypt, Cleopatra VII ruled between 305 and 30 B.C. Known for her love affairs with Julius Caesar and Marc Antony, her burial place is still shrouded in mystery. According to ancient historians, Cleopatra was buried with Antony in a beautiful monument near a temple of the Goddess Isis; however, it has never been found. Many believe the tomb is no longer intact or could have been pillaged by grave robbers, however, archaeologists continue to hope for its recovery.
